Crystal Replacement

Sapphire or acrylic, fitted with the correct gaskets and pressure-tested before it goes back on.

A cracked or crazed crystal is not only cosmetic. It is an open door for moisture and dust. Replacement is quick, but only when the correct crystal and gasket are used and the case is properly resealed afterwards. A crystal pressed in without a pressure test is a leak waiting to happen.

What the work includes

  1. Genuine sapphire or period-correct acrylic
  2. Correct gasket fitted, not reused
  3. Pressed on proper tooling, never glued
  4. Full dry and wet pressure test before collection
  5. Bezel and tension ring checked at the same time

Acrylic crystals on vintage pieces can often be polished rather than replaced. We will tell you which is right for yours.
