Waterproof Testing

Every seal renewed, then tested dry and wet to the depth on the caseback.

Seals are rubber, rubber dries, and a watch that was water-resistant five years ago may not be today. Testing takes minutes and prevents the single most expensive kind of damage a mechanical watch can suffer. We recommend it annually, and always after a crystal, crown or caseback has been off.

What the work includes

  1. Every gasket, tube and crown seal renewed
  2. Dry-air test to the depth marked on the caseback
  3. Wet immersion test to confirm the dry result
  4. Crown and pusher threads inspected for wear
  5. Written confirmation of the rating achieved

If there is already condensation under the crystal, do not wait for an appointment. Bring it in the same day.
